05 · Issuance Flow

Gasless credential minting.

Faculty never pay gas. The relayer intercepts EIP-712 signatures, pins to IPFS, and executes on-chain — adoption without crypto friction.

Faculty Signs

Professor signs an EIP-712 structured payload with MetaMask. Zero gas — pure cryptographic intent.

Step 2

Relayer Validates

API verifies ISSUER_ROLE on GovernanceRegistry, simulates the tx, checks relayer balance, and rejects mock IPFS.

Step 3

IPFS Pin

Grade metadata is pinned via Pinata on Render. The immutable CID becomes the credential URI anchor.

Step 4

SBT Minted

Relayer submits the meta-transaction. CredentialRegistry mints a soulbound token to the student wallet on MST Testnet.
